Rugged terminals are essential for certain jobs and are indispensable for traceability applications requiring intensive barcode scanning.

These terminals are generally dustproof and splash/water resistant and thus conform to IP54, IP67 standards etc.

Rugged terminals are also designed to be drop-proof and for use in hostile environments (extreme temperatures, moisture levels, etc).
