Using Praxedo Mobile
Question: Is Praxedo Mobile adapted to the work I do?
Answer: Praxedo Mobile is used in a variety of very different industries. Offering a high level of configurability, Praxedo Mobile can easily be adapted to all jobs carried out by field workers, who have had to use paper processes up until now to generate their work reports (work orders, operations reports, delivery forms, check sheets, etc.).
Q: Will my employees actually be able to use it?
A: This mobile application is essentially designed for people who do not possess specialised computer skills, and our overriding concern in its design was to make it simple. Praxedo Mobile is easy to get to grips with (half a day’s training is all that is required) and you can set the application up using the specific operational terms your employees are familiar with.
Q: Can you use it to manage large teams?
A: Our platform is designed to handle fleets of several hundred terminals for a single client. For example, we have just overseen the deployment of 300 terminals to one client over a four-month period. And, of course, we can also manage the smallest fleets of terminals.
Q: Does Praxedo work on a regular basis with corporate customers?
A: We have built up a large portfolio of corporate customers and we offer them implementation solutions that take into account the problems involved in integrating the application with their existing computer systems.
Q: Why is Praxedo Mobile a more attractive option than specifically developed software?
A: Praxedo Mobile is constantly innovating and offers new functions that our clients can access at no extra cost. Praxedo is easy to configure and allows you to enhance your work processes (eg, create new report forms) with a minimum of fuss. It also helps you become more reactive to your needs on the ground. What is more, Praxedo Mobile will be completely compatible with future generations of mobile terminals.

Question: Do I need any specific technical skills to use Praxedo Mobile?
Answer: No. The service has been designed so that it can be set up by operations managers with no specific technical know-how. In designing new functions we always aim for simplicity. All you need to learn how to use the tool is half a day’s training. After that, you can work with it at your own pace.
Q: Can I interface my existing computer system with Praxedo Mobile?
A: Yes. Our standard package features interfaces that are free and ready to use. We use API SOAP and we provide all the support you need to get them up and running (SDK, sample codes, etc).
Q: Is the application secure?
A: The Praxedo Mobile application is hosted in a professional environment. Data is stored systematically and we can guarantee application availability of over 99.8%. In addition, the application can be accessed using HTTPS and with the same level of security built into online payment processes.
Q: I often have to work in locations that are not covered by mobile phone networks. Will the application work even where there is no coverage?
A: The Praxedo Mobile mobile application can still operate without being connected to a network. Data is stored on the terminal regardless of whether there is coverage or not. As soon as access to the network is restored field workers can then synchronise the data. The data exchange facility is set up to operate with low-bandwidth connections (GPRS). 3G coverage is not required.

Question: How much does Praxedo Mobile cost?
Answer: With Praxedo Mobile, costs are very easy to keep control of. You only pay for access on your PDAs. The cost of accessing the service is €59 (excl. tax) per month and per PDA deployed. The more PDAs you deploy, the cheaper they are. The price applies to a 24-month subscription but does not include telecom and equipment costs. Access to the web planning and configuration module is free.
Q: What is the start-up pack for?
A: The start-up pack allows you to apply Praxedo Mobile to your specific work environment. You will receive a visit from a Praxedo specialist, who will configure the software so that you can start using the service as quickly and as efficiently as possible. The pack can also be used to train your users so that they can become operational within a short period of time.
Q: Which terminals are compatible with it?
A: Praxedo Mobile is compatible with a number of Windows Mobile and Blackberry PDAs. Our aim is to extend that compatibility to a maximum number of terminals distributed by mobile operators.
Q: Do Praxedo sell terminals?
A: No. You would usually buy terminals when taking out a telecoms subscription with your operator, allowing you to benefit from cheaper prices.
Q: Is Praxedo Mobile compatible with my operator?
A: Praxedo is compatible with France’s three main operators: Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom.
